Travel Wishlist

Since my global adventure last month, I really got thinking about other places I wished to visit as well as striking off 2 of my top countries. So here is my new ultimate list with the help of Pinterest.

1. New Zealand

So many people we spoke to in our hostels in Australia had been / were going to New Zealand. And the ones who had been had nothing bad to say about it at all. I rather like a bit of adventure (beach lying is lovely but gets a tad boring!) and stunning scenery. This definitely looks the place for me!

2. Ireland

It is so close, yet untouched by my feet! Giants Causeway is an obvious for a geography geek like me but I hear rumours the countryside is meant to be pretty nice ... and they do good beer! Shame I am a cider gal!

3. Iceland

Again the geography geek within is speaking here. Every picture of Iceland on Pinterest is stunningly gorgeous and there are the Northern Lights! Would tick off another of my lifes dreams.

4. UAE

I had never even considered visiting here until we visited Dubai airport (so on a technicality I have already visited). We flew in over the desert and I was like practically licking the glass of the airplane window. I think Dubai looks amazing, with some fantastic looking buildings and the whole island things they have going on. Best get saving!

5. Italy

Pizza. Carbonara. Ice Creamo. The accent. The men. The sunshine. The beaches. I think I would love Italy :)

Where would you most like to go in the world? And have you been                      to any of these places?

  1. Japan and the Galapagos Islands would be the top countries if I had an endless supply of money trees. Ireland's a lovely country visit - I've been to County Wicklow, totally unspoilt by tourists or big tourist things, gorgeous (although ever so windy and wet!).

    1. The Galapagos Islands look amazing, or at least from what I've seen of David Attenborough! x

  2. I really really really want to go to Japan, I have it hopefully pencilled in for 2020 though to coincide with the Olympics. New Zealand would be amazing too, but it's so far away I definitely think I'd need to stop somewhere on the way there and back.

    1. Living in Italy and learning Italian would be awesome, yet gruesome for my poor body hehe. x

  4. If you go to Ireland, try go along the west coast for a bit, it's beautiful there (I'm biased though as that's where I call home!). And Ireland is home to Magners, so we do cider too! (it's just called Bulmers here, it's not the same as English Bulmers though). I'm sure there are plenty other craft ciders and the likes too, I don't know much about cider to be honest as I don't drink it!

  6. I'd love to go to UAE and New Zealand - the other three I've done, Ireland and Iceland are absolutely fabulous (we had our honeymoon in Reykjavik) but I wasn't that keen on Italy (although it was a school trip when I was 17 so I might be different if I went back now).
If you go to Iceland, instead of going on the tourist coach trips, hire your own car and do the same tour of the sights but in your own time - so much better! Plus as well as the famous Blue Lagoon, visit one of the city's big swimming pools, all open air and you get to sit in hot pools til 10pm at night listening to all the locals! Ooh and visit the market for cheap cakes, pastries and vintage clothes. :-) xx

  7. I would love to go to Italy and New Zealand. If I flew all the way in that direction for NZ I would also stop off at Australia of course ;) But really, I have been wanting to go to China for years now, and this summer I will be! I can't wait :)

  8. Would love to go to all of these places too! Iceland and Finland are top of my list even though I can't stand being cold, so probably not the best destinations for me. They just look so magical. I want to hop on a plane right now. A winning lottery ticket would be lovely :)
